There are wild chrysanthemums in bloom and rhododendron colonies ,a scene that is nostalgic even for Japanese people.
■Looking Glass Falls
ガラスのように見える滝は、ノースカロライナ州の国有林の中にある観光名所です。
多くのアメリカ人は、滝に近づき、その一景を楽しみます。
これを日本庭園的な見方をすれば、視点を引いて、遠景は滝、中景は流れ、近景は大きな石というよりに切り取ると、風景に遠近感、深みがでます(Ph.3).
この造園技術は、狭い庭にも応用できます(Ph.4).
